The goal: a cohesive collection of vintage full-frame lenses from around 20mm to 100mm. They had to be sharp wide open, with expressive yet subtle lens flares and textured, non-distracting bokeh. Chromatic aberration had to be minimal. With 99% of lens character expressed wide open, the target aperture was set at f/2.
TAMASHII prime set: 9 compact, lightweight Japanese lenses from the 1960s to the early 1980s, each impressive in its own right. Mark worked tirelessly, refining the selection for each focal length through rigorous testing.
